Philip Edmond Rossetti – South Park, formerly of Greensburg
Philip Edmond Rossetti, 69, of South Park, formerly of Greensburg, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Feb. 28, 1952, in Charleroi, the son of the late Sisto M. and Orlandina DiVitto Rossetti. Philip graduated from Monessen High School, Class of 1970. He was employed by several coal mines, including the Helen Mining Co. in Homer City, where he worked for 20 years. After he left the coal mine, he then worked as a truck driver for The News Group, based out of the Strip District in Pittsburgh. He later retired from Bergen Power Pipe Supports Inc. in Donora. Philip was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. A devoted father and grandfather, Phil loved spending time with his family and enjoyed going to sporting events. He is survived by his son, Philip (Jennifer) Rossetti of Bolivia, N.C.; daughter, Jenna (Blaise) Tritschler, with whom he made his home; four grandchildren, Otto and Rocco Tritschler, and Oliver and Ethan Rossetti; sister, Florine Rossetti of Laurel, Md; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Bernadette Vasquez Rossetti, who died March 15, 2017; and two brothers, Anthony and Mark Rossetti. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 722 W. Main St., Monongahela. Committal services and interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
