David William Tuomi – Rostraver Township

David William Tuomi, of Rostraver Township, passed peacefully on Sunday, Aug 8, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Joanne (Berkosky); loving father of Diane (Dave) Rimkus of Robinson; son of the late Eino and Helen Randall Tuomi; brother of Irene (the late John) Zapp and the late Donald Tuomi; cherished uncle of Kathy Zapp, Valerie Millslagle, Drs. John and Mark Zapp and Lori Ballog; and was also survived by dear friend, Dr. Jack Weldon. David was a graduate of Penn State University and began his career in the construction industry with his father as a field superintendent. He retired from Monongahela Valley Hospital as the director of construction. Dave was an avid reader who enjoyed playing ping-pong and taking leisurely walks. Friends will be received at John F. Slater Funeral Home Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227 from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 2021. At the family’s request, all visitors must wear masks during visitation and service.
