Bruce A. Bevan, 70, of Monongahela, formerly of Donora, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2021 at Faidley House, Carroll Township. Born Feb. 27, 1951, in New Orleans, La., he was the son of the late John M. Jr. and Dorothy White Bevan. After serving two years in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, Bruce returned home and worked for many years as a stock clerk. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the Pirates and Steelers, reading the Bible, Reader’s Digest, collecting baseball cards and listening to his CD collection. Surviving are his nephew, Ian Bevan and several cousins. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his brother John M. Bevan III. Friends will be received at the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021, at which time services will begin with Pastor Josh Green officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps funeral detail.
