Santo R. Alessio, 73, of Rostraver Township, died Thursday at Rehabilitation & Nursing Center of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. He was born on Dec. 1, 1947, in North Charleroi, the son of the late Frank Alessio and Stella Gurzynski Alessio. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Italian Society of Mutual Aid and a graduate of Monessen High School, Class of 1965. He worked as a welder in the local union, 354 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters. Surviving him are his loving wife of 47 years, Linda Robinson Alessio; three sons, Aaron Alessio of Pittsburgh, Brian Alessio of West Newton and Chad (Lindsey) Alessio of Greensburg; three grandsons, Aidan, Evan and Odin Alessio; brother, Frank (Diane) Alessio of Rostraver Township; sister-in-law, Cleo Amato; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held Monday beginning with a blessing service at 11:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at noon at Epiphany of Our Lord Church with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating.
