Joseph “Joe” Anthony Arrigo Jr. passed away peacefully on July 15, 2021 at the age of 73. His daughter, Dorrie Arrigo and sister, Francis Anderson held his hand as he transitioned to heaven to join his parents and brothers. His battle with serious medical issues over many years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and positive spirit. Despite the pain, Joe came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Joe was born on Jan. 20, 1948, the son of the late Joseph and Esther Arrigo of Charleroi. He lived most of his life in Fallowfield Township, where he was well known as a man who could fix anything. At the time of his death, he resided in a Catholic Charities Senior Community, located in Baltimore, Md., where he was very well respected and loved. There, Joe will be remembered for his kind and genuine demeanor along with his love for Wii Bowling. Joe was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam era. During his service, Joe was trained as an electrician and heating and AC technician, a career that lasted his entire life. Joe is survived by his wife, Dorothy; and his son and daughter, Jerry and Dorrie, all of Maryland; his sister, Francis Anderson and brother, James Arrigo; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of Pennsylvania. Joe was preceded by his parents and his brothers, Michael “Mick” and Charles “Chuck” of Pennsylvania. No funeral service will be held. A virtual memorial service will be held on a future date.
