George M. Papantonakis – Monessen

George M. Papantonakis, 64, of Monessen passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born in Charleroi on Feb. 28, 1957, he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth Kolich Papantonakis. George retired as a machinist and was Catholic by faith. He is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn Papantonakis of Boulder, Colo.; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Jim Rosgony of Jefferson Hills; and a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Jamie Papantonakis of Pittsburgh; as well as nieces and nephews, Elissa and Mathew Papantonakis and Rebecca and Amanda Rosgony. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME Inc., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen, www.billicksfuneralhome.com. A blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
