Christopher Michael Kortina, 41, of Herminie, passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2021. Born on Nov. 25, 1979, Chris is the son of James (Cynthia) Kortina and Patricia (Mark) Kortina. Chris graduated from Frazier High School, Class of 1999. Following high school, Chris had numerous jobs in construction, but plumbing was his specialty. He enjoyed traveling with his fiancée, Marsha and spending time outdoors with those closest to him. Surviving to cherish Christopher’s memory are his father, James (Cynthia) Kortina and his mother, Patricia (fiancé Mark Krukowsky) Kortina; his fiancée, whom he loved dearly, Marsha Marie Kuester; sons; Kaden Bizzozero, William Kuester and Josh Lankey; daughters, Kayla Kortina and Miley Kuester; his brother, Ryan (Lisa) Kortina; a nephew, Adam Kortina; a niece, Emma Kortina; and his best friend, Ryan Peck. Chris is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents, Isabell and Thomas Kortina; grandparents, Betty and Michael Tokar; and his uncle, Tom Kortina. Friends and family will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday July 29, 2021, at SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Ron Ingelido officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
