Another night of Mon Valley Independent Summer Basketball League girls action, another dominant win for first-place Cedarbrook.

Three players hit double figures for the girls in gray as they rolled to a 52-30 win over Edward Jones in the second game of Monday’s tripleheader.

Trinity’s Alyssa Clutter finished with a game-high 18 points, Latrobe’s Elle Snyder added 13 points and Gateway’s Mea Johnson added 11 points for Cedarbrook, who moved to 6-0.

“It feels real good to be undefeated at this point in the season,” Cedarbrook head coach Mariah Ward said. “We’re going to keep trying to keep it rolling now. Seeing this team really come together over the past week has been great.”

Cedarbrook broke the game open with a 10-0 run midway through the first half to make the score 23-10 with 2:48 remaining. The run was fueled by three baskets from Clutter and a pair by Snyder.

“The way Alyssa has really accepted her teammates and gotten them all involved has been fantastic to watch,” Ward said. “She’s such a great player, but she really distributes the ball and keeps everyone involved.”
