Two arrest warrants have been issued in connection with the murder of Nicholas Tarpley at Anna Lee’s Convenience Store in Donora on Feb. 24.
First Assistant District Attorney Jason Walsh would only confirm that two arrest warrants were signed by Washington County Judge John DiSalle. The warrants, affidavits of probable cause, criminal complaints and even the names of those the warrants have been issued for are all sealed for 60 days.
Walsh explained the information is under seal to protect the ongoing investigation and the sources of information that are part of that investigation.
There are two arrest warrants and though nothing is known about who was charged or what charges have been filed, state police released surveillance images of two men and asked the public to help identify both men in connection with the shooting. The footage was captured at the store. Both men wore black facemasks and one also wore a red cap.
State police told the public to consider both men in the images to be armed and dangerous at the time.
Tarpley, who was 28, was a Donora resident and part owner of Anna Lee’s Convenience Store, where he was shot and killed Feb. 24.
