Leo Kenneth Glasser, 73, of Monessen, passed away on July 6, 2021, in Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. He was born on Nov. 22, 1947, in North Charleroi, the son of the late Leo and Edith Greenlee Glasser. Leo was Catholic by faith. He was a graduate of Charleroi High School, Class of 1965. He worked as an electrician until the close of the Volkswagen plant and later retired from Sensus Technology. While serving in the U.S. Navy, he became a Golden Shellback, which means he crossed the equator at 0 degrees latitude and 0 degrees longitude. Leo was the former fire chief of Monessen Hilltop Volunteer Fire Department No. 2. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and listening to his oldies. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Vivio Glasser; a son, Luke (Lisa) Glasser of Carroll Township; a daughter, Loren (Chad) Carroto of Monessen; two grandsons, Lorenzo and Lazer Glasser; his granddaughter, Bella Carroto; a sister, Maggie (Mike) Lee of Stockdale; a brother-in-law, John (Loren) Vivio; four nephews, Kevin (Marisa) Lee, Shawn Lee, Ben (Leza) Vivio and Daniel (Nerina) Vivio; and niece, Dana (Val Smith) Lee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Goodson. Friends will be received in DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 9. Services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with Father Gerald Mikonis officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery. Monessen Fire Department will conduct its service at 7 p.m. Friday. Condolences accepted at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
