Deacon Henry Frank Hall Sr., 92, of Monessen, went home peacefully on Friday, July 2, 2021, to be with the Lord. Henry was born on Feb. 2, 1929, to the late Willie Lee Hall Sr. and Alma Clemons-Fleetwood. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Lillie Mae Sherrer; brother, Willie Lee Hall Jr.; and sister, Maggie Mae Hall; two sons, Henry F. Hall Jr. and Janson A. Hall; a granddaughter, Darlene Hall; great-granddaughter, Tamara Hill; and great-great-grandson, Ka’Leih Hill. Henry was a graduate of Monessen High School, Class of 1947. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1953. After several employments, he finally retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in 1998. He joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Monessen in 1996 and was a faithful member, served as a trustee and was then ordained as a deacon. He continued serving as deacon at Mt. Calvary till he received the OK from Pastor Mason to leave and join Fellowship Baptist Church in 2001, where he continued to function as a deacon. After the close of Fellowship Baptist Church in 2004, he joined Newness of Life Ministries and served as a deacon and his love for Christ continued to grow. He then felt led by the Lord to help in another portion of His House and joined Wayman-Quinn Chapel A.M.E. in 2017, where he continued his spiritual growth and was a faithful member till his passing. He was a former member of St. James Lodge No. 7 AF&AM, a member of the Shriners and served with Order of the Eastern Star.  He had served as president of the Monessen Clean Air Coalition. He is survived by three brothers, Daniel “Sugar” Hall of Charleroi, Llewellyn “Lee” Hall of Monessen and Gregory Hall of Philadelphia; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Hall of Charleroi and Carrie Sherrer-Brown of Ohio; and one daughter-in-law, Wanda Hall of Maryland. Henry and Lillie Mae were married Oct. 10, 1953, and to that union had eight children. He is survived by Rose Mare Hall, Recardo (Eva) Hall, Shelia Davis, Mary Hall-Gill, Thomas (Karen) Hall and Yvette “Sissy” Hall-Williams; and a granddaughter, Tamica (Les) Carpenter, whom they raised; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at Newness of Life Ministries on Thursday, July 8, 2021. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Interment will be at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Arrangements are entrusted to ALDRICH FUNERAL HOMES, 608-610 Sixth St., Monessen, PA 15062.
