Matthew Mauro – Monessen

Matthew Mauro, 52, of Monessen, died Thursday, July 1, 2021, at his residence. He was born on Feb. 12, 1969, in North Charleroi, the son of Patricia Summers Hutchinson of Webster and the late Joseph A. Mauro. Matt grew up in Monessen and was a 1987 graduate of Monessen High School. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening. Matt had previously worked for JED Heating and Cooling in Donora. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony “Tony” Mauro his paternal grandparents, Emilio Mauro and Theresa McCann, and his materal grandparents, Donald and Mildred (Deitsch) Summers.. Surviving are his mother, Patricia (Donald) Summers of Webster; two brothers, Joseph (Susan) Mauro of Chicora, Pa., and Dino (Debbie) Mauro of Wakefield, Va.; a sister, Melissa Lofts of West Newton; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. All services are private. He will be laid to rest in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, with his father and brother.
