Faye Ruth Painter, 61, of Perryopolis, died Sunday, June 27, 2021, at her home. She was born Jan. 22, 1960, in North Charleroi, the daughter of the late Harry L. and Catherine A. Griest Huweart. Faye was a member of Legacy Church International in Washington. She had worked at several places in the Mon Valley area including, C. Harper Chevrolet in Belle Vernon in the maintenance department, Ross Auto in Charleroi as a secretary and for Diversified Human Services in Charleroi as an aide with their home health care. Faye loved going to Steelers games, comedy shows and plays. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics, jigsaw puzzles, traveling and spending time with her family. She is survived by her companion, Donnie Gray of Latrobe; daughter, Denise (Scott) Ross of Perryopolis; three sons, Chris (Kelly) Painter of Donora, Michael (Erin) Painter of Rostraver Township, Matthew (fiancée, Amanda) Painter of Charleroi; stepdaughter, Cindy Painter of Speers; stepson, John (Sandy) Painter Jr. of Donora; 13 grandchildren, Cheyenne, Alvin “LA”, Starlyn, Hunter, Ashton, Mel Mel and Amanda Ross, Ryan, Raylin, Rylie, Mason, Lucas and Ruby Painter; great-grandson, Christopher O’Brien; four brothers, William “Joey” Huweart of Charleroi, Harry “Buzzy” (Mary) Huweart of Brownsville, Ronald Huweart of Coal Center, James (Sue) Huweart of Carroll Township; three sisters, Mary (Don) Filtz of Belle Vernon, Rose Demko of Florida, Paula (Jim) Quigley of Brownsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Marion Painter Sr. who died Feb. 15, 2014; three brothers, Alfred, Everett and Robert Huweart; and two sisters, Judy Brumley and Annie Caulk. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021, with the Rev. Montae Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow in Fells Cemetery, Rostraver.
