Arthur B. Lorenzi – Monongahela

    Arthur B. Lorenzi, 93, of Monongahela, died Thursday, June 10, 2021, at his home. He was born March 25, 1928, in Gallatin, the son of Bruno and Mary Pepka Lorenzi. While a youth and throughout his young adult life, Art enjoyed playing soccer with the Keystone League in Gallatin. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War and obtaining the rank of staff sergeant in the 2nd Infantry Division, 72nd Tank Battalion. He retired from Combustion Engineering in East Monongahela with 40 years of employment. Art was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela and a member of the former VFW in Charleroi. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, vegetable gardening, watching the Steelers and watching war movies. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alice Kovach Lorenzi; three sons, Gary and Brian Lorenzi of Monongahela, and Larry and wife Annette Lorenzi of Bethel Park; and two granddaughters, Anna Marie and Lidia Lorenzi. Private visitations were held at FRYE FUNERAL HOME, and a Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Committal service and interment followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. Memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 100 Stoops Drive, Monongahela, PA 15063.
