Leona M Carey, 76, of Fayette City, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021, in her residence surrounded by her family. She was born May 2, 1945, in Uniontown, daughter of Charles Cole and Mabel Vernon Cole. She is survived her children: son, Andrew Cole of Fayette City, daughter, Jamie Trozzo of Roscoe, daughter, Janice Bradley and husband David of Fayette City, son, Gene Trozzo and wife Tina of Fayette City and daughter, Candy Figeroa and husband Fred of Fayette City; longtime friend, Guy Schroyer of Fayette City; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Himich and Violet Jenkins; brothers, Leonard Cole, William Cole and Harold Cole; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene David Carey; two daughters, Alice Carey and Jody Lynn Trozzo; grandson, Daniel Trozzo; sisters, Marlene, Loretta, Gertie, Harriet and Luretta; brothers, Tom, Charles, Ronny and Clarence. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Howe Cemetery, Coal Center.
