Joseph “JP” “Sudsy” Lorenzo, 76, of Donora, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born on May 9, 1945, in North Charleroi, son of the late Joseph and Martha Trona Lorenzo. He was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Mr. Lorenzo was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed his car shows with his award-winning prized possession, his 1970 Chevelle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Barbera Maytas. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Joanne K. Lorenzo; daughters, Gina (Dr. Gilbert “Butch”) Leadbitter and Jenifer Barbera (Jeffrey Stump); a son-in-law, Michael Maytas; five grandchildren, Shana Ferrante, Alexis Quinn, Kellie Condie, Brittany Keruskin and Nicholas Keruskin; five great-grandchildren, D.J., Kaiden, Adrian, Skyler and Sebastian; a sister, Joanne L. Lorenzo; and a sister-in-law, Arlene Egidi; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at the Donora Campus of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Entombment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
