Joseph F. Barney – Rostraver Township
Joseph F. Barney, 79, of Rostraver Township, passed away in his home on Monday, May 24, 2021. A son of the late Caesar and Mary Barney, he was born on Sept. 19, 1941. A lifelong resident of Rostraver Township, he was a member of the Naomi Club and the East Belle Vernon Athletic Association. Joe was an avid golfer and fisherman and had a passion for gardening and cooking. He was the founder of Professional Turf Products LLC and retired in 2010. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, George and Mary Jo Barney of Weirton, W.Va.; a stepson, Joseph R. Lombardo of Monessen; two grandchildren, Joshua and Jordan Barney, both of Weirton, W.Va.; a stepgrandson, Ian Lombardo; his previous wife, RoseAnn Rotheram of Charleroi; and a niece, Natalie Brewer of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A memorial service will begin at 9 p.m. with the Rev. Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
