Michael Joseph Ciserano
formerly of Charleroi
Michael Joseph Ciserano, 68, formerly of Charleroi, died May 1, 2021, at his home in Ocala, Fla. Michael was born on April 19, 1953, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Michael and Josephine DiMartino Ciserano. He attended Samford High School and continued his education at Slippery Rock University, where he played football for the Spartans while earning a bachelor’s degree in physical education. Michael worked for many years as a manager for Ethan Allen and La-Z-Boy. Michael was an avid sports fan, closely following his favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the University of Michigan Wolverines. For many years, he was active in the Charleroi community as a youth sports coach, with a special love for coaching Cougar football. Most recently, he enjoyed spending his free time bowling and golfing. Michael is survived by his children, Angela Tetteris (Michael) of Belle Vernon and Michael Ciserano Jr. (Kelly Opalinski) of Charleroi; and five grandchildren, Sophie Tetteris, Tyler Bowen, Brayden Snyder, Morgan Snyder and Ryley Skibicki. Private family services were held at the HIERS-BAXLEY FUNERAL HOME in Ocala, Fla.
