Crowded field seeks four McKeesport school board seats

Residents within the McKeesport Area School District will have a lot of options when casting their votes for school board in Tuesday’s primary election.
Eleven candidates, including three incumbents, are vying for four seats on the board of school directors.
Up for re-election are board directors David Donato, Tom Filotei and Jim Poston, who have each cross-filed on the Democratic and Republican tickets. Board Director Ivan Hampton has not filed for re-election.
Newcomers on Tuesday’s ballot are David Seropian, Matthew Holtzman, Phil Williams and Dan Goughnour, who have all cross-filed, and Nikita Crumb, Gilbert Smith, Tiffany Wampler and Latoya Wright, who are running on the Democratic ticket only.
Dravosburg, McKeesport, South Versailles, Versailles and White Oak comprise the district’s territory.
