Alma M. Blackburn – Monongahela
Funeral services were held for Alma M. Blackburn, 86, of Monongahela, who died Saturday, May 8, 2021, in Premier Washington Health Center, Washington, Pa. Born Oct. 4, 1934, in Monongahela, she was the daughter of Roland and Harriett Collin. A 1952 graduate of Monongahela High School, Alma was a member of Garwood Baptist Church in Bentleyville and had belonged to The Pioneer Club, The Order of the Eastern Star and Lioness Club. For many years, along with her husband, they owned and operated Clarence Blackburn General Hauling and Sanitary Landfill and B.A.C.C. Inc. She and her husband also owned and operated a small mobile home court in Fallowfield Township until his passing in 2017. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Julie Blackburn of Monongahela; stepson, Jeff and wife Roberta Blackburn of Daisytown; an adopted daughter, Janie, and husband Joe Southworth of Finleyville; a stepdaughter; Barbara and husband, James Herman of Bentleyville; 13 grandchildren, Kelsey, Russell III, Paige, David and Noah Blackburn, Heath and Stephanie Garcia, Sadie and Wesley Blackburn, Kelly Varner, Jeffrey Adams, Jessi (Eric) Isenhart and Abby Herman; and seven great-grandchildren, Alieya Blackburn, Kiera Law, Bailey Smith, Cylvie and Freddie Isenhart, Oakley Varner and Carter Flory. Preceding her in death was her husband, Clarence Blackburn, who died Aug. 6, 2017; a brother, Robert Collin; and a sister; Gladys Madden. Interment was held in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
