The veterans memorial in the village of Industry in Elizabeth Township has been refurbished.

“We were really glad we were able to do that and honor the veterans who served our community,” said Commissioners’ President Bart Rocco.

The township commissioners approved the work on the memorial in January. It was recently completed by Rudez Granite & Bronze in Jefferson. Commissioner Andrew Kuzma said the memorial needed a complete restoration.

“It was originally owned by the Industry Fire Department, which merged with Blythedale years ago,” Kuzma said. “After they merged, the township didn’t really take it over.”
