William J. Bartman – Monessen

William J. Bartman, 67, of Monessen, died unexpectedly on Sunday May 2, 2021, at his home. He was born on April 27, 1954, in North Charleroi, the son of the late William J. and Angeline DeMarco Bartman. Bill was a 1972 graduate of Monessen High School and received his bachelor’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania. He moved to Alexandria, Va., and worked in the Washington, D.C. area before returning to Monessen. Bill was a writer, journalist and author with professional and business development experience and all media and communications sectors. He appeared on the NBC’s “Today Show”, The Travel Channel’s “Travel News”, and national and major market radio in the U.S. and Europe. Bill co-authored “The International Safe Travel Guide”, a Betterway Publication, in 1987, offering an early warning to the growing international terrorism threat. He is survived by several cousins. A private service was held with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment followed in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. & Cremation Services, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
