Herbert E. ‘Herky’ Bedner Sr. – Monessen
Herbert E. “Herky” Bedner Sr., 70, of Monessen died Friday, April 30, 2021 in Mon Valley Hospital. Born in North Charleroi on Dec. 17, 1950, he was the son of the late Thomas E. and Eva Painter Bedner. Herky was a millwright for the U.S. Steel Irvin Works for 34 years. He was a member of Monessen United Methodist Church, Tri-County Lodge F&AM No. 252 and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Bedner of Monessen; son, Herbert E. Bedner Jr. of Monessen; and grandchildren, Kaylee Bedner of Smithfield and Riley Bedner of Monessen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diana L. Lynn Bedner, on Feb. 18, 2015. Private visitation and funeral services were entrusted to JAMES C.
