Shelton Henry Jones – Charleroi

By obits

Once again on April 24, an angel-driven chariot stopped in the Mon Valley and ushered Shelton Henry Jones, 63, of Charle- roi, on board with final destination, Heaven. He was born Feb. 14, 1958, in McKeesport, the son of late Anna Mae Epps Jones and Billie Burke Jones of Monongahela. Shelton was also preceded in death by his nephew, Maurice Jones. Shelton spent time serving his country with the U.S. Air Force Reserves for four years. He began working with Enterprise Car Rental Services in North Charleroi in March of 2003 and spent 18 years there. He was known for his hard-work ethic and dedication to the company. When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, Shelva, his grandchildren and golfing with his son and friends. He was known for his amazing cooking skills and always had Sunday dinner prepared for his family. Shelton was known by many, a great man and friend to many. He was a man with a kind heart, always putting everyone above himself. He always put a smile on people’s faces. Shelton is survived by his wife, Shelva Smith; children, Timothy Smith, Sharie Smith, Shawntae Smith and Shelly Smith; grandchildren, Elijah Smith, Anjeanlina Smith, Gionna Hickman, Syanna Smith (“yum-yum”) and Asyah Smith; siblings, Ella Mae Jones, Jeffery Jones (Debbie) of Gibsonia and Sydney Jones (Debbie) of San Antonio, Texas; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be missed dearly by his loved ones and everyone who knew him. Anyone who knew him is welcome to pay their respects. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at House of Jackson Memorial Chapel, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, Pa., with a chapel service starting at 1 p.m. with Elder Maurice Wade Jr. giving the eulogy. Final celebration has been gently placed in the hands of HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, Karl Jackson, funeral director, 724-379-5420.
