James M. Monack Sr. – Belle Vernon

James M. Monack Sr., 62, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. The son of Frank E. and Deanna Senko Monack, who survive and reside in Belle Vernon, he was born in North Charleroi on Oct. 19, 1958. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, he was a member of the Naomi Athletic Club and worked for Keystone Bakery for 40 years as a baker. He especially liked playing with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son and daughter in-law, James M. and Melissa Monack Jr. of Perryopolis; three daughters and a son-in-law, Jamie L. Monack (James Lucy) of Belle Vernon, Nicole and Alan Ashcraft of Belle Vernon and Ashley J. Monack (Natasha) of Belle Vernon; eight grandchildren, Gaige Chipps, Brooklynn Chipps, Tyler Monack, Allie Monack, Braelynn Chipps, Mason Lucy, Jase Ashcraft and Travis Ashcraft; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Frank and Jodi Monack of Belle Vernon and Michael Monack (Chris) of West Brownsville; a sister, Linda Longo of Charleroi; close friends, Karen Monack and Julie Monack and their families; and his loving dogs, Lucy and Hazel. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbi Rae Peters Monack in 1997; and a brother, John Monack in 2018. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 23, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. Face masks are required in the funeral home. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Crookston, pastor of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
