Dorothy Chalfant Verin – Monessen

Dorothy Chalfant Verin, 83, of Monessen, passed away on April 19, 2021, at TLC Adult Care Center of West Newton. She was born in Washington Township on April 24, 1937, daughter of the late Hugh and Lenora Tiernan Chalfant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Verin; daughter, Darlene Dolan; son, Steve “Stush” Verin; brothers, Earnie, Bob and Jim Chalfant; and sisters, Martha Kozma and Mary Stevenson. Surviving are her daughter, Cissy and husband David Stanisz; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Verin; grandchildren, David Stanisz, Darrin and fiancée Bekah Stanisz, Nicole and Brad Frazee, Tyler and fiancée Emily Verin; and the light of her life, her two great-grandchildren, Elaina Rae and Lyla Jean Stanisz. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where the family will welcome friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the time of services, on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Interment will follow at the Grandview Cemetery of Monessen. Online condolences may be conveyed to the family at www.rhomefuneralhome.com. Visitors are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
