Dolly’s Dogs welcomes double-dog stroller donation

Dolly, a spaniel mix who doesn’t have the use of her hind legs, and Nika, a shepherd mix, is a double amputee. But neither of the dogs allows their physical disabilities to stop them from walking, running and frolicking with other dogs and humans.

They have found their forever home with Diane Raible, coordinator for Dolly’s Dogs at Paws Across Pittsburgh, which she runs from her White Oak home.

The furry duo have become mascots of sorts for the branch of the animal rescue organization, appearing at outreach events and other community events.

To make the lives of Dolly, Nika and other disabled or injured dogs easier at events, meet and greets, veterinarian appointments or other outings, A Diamond in The Ruff, which is a pet groomer salon and pet spa in the South Side Flats, recently donated a double-dog stroller, as well as other supplies, to Dolly’s Dogs at Paws Across Pittsburgh.

“This is going to make some pups very happy,” Raible said, later adding that “they will have fun in that.”
