Ronald E. Govenor – Charleroi

Ronald E. Govenor, 79, of Charleroi, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Born on Sept. 11, 1941, he was the son of the late Emil and Phyllis Govenor. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Allenport as a foreman. He had a love for boating and was a chartered member of the Speers Boat Club and a member of the Charleroi Fishing Club in Everett, Pa. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed visiting his cabin near Somerset, Pa. He was also a member of the Charleroi Elks and Legion. Ronald is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Hajduk Govenor; son, Curtis Govenor of Charleroi; daughter, Michelle Wadsworth of Charleroi; granddaughter, Emilee Wadsworth; brothers, Bary (Mary) Govenor of Pittsburgh and Tim (Mary Beth) Govenor of Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and his very good friends, Ron Macko of Speers and Ron Vandermer of Monongahela. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021, at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director.
