Marlene J. DeRosa – Finleyville

Funeral services were held for Marlene J. DeRosa, 84, of Finleyville, Union Township, who died Saturday, April 3, 2021, in her home. Born May 30, 1936, in Monongahela, she was the daughter of the late Dave Sr. and Nora Davis. Marlene worked for 27 years as the head custodian until her retirement at the Ringgold School District’s Finley Middle School. She enjoyed gardening and going to the casino and different flea markets around the area with her late husband John. She is survived by two sons, Terry DeRosa of Bentleyville and Edward DeRosa (Angie Douglas) of Monongahela; two daughters, Lonna Walters of Finleyville and Shelly DeRosa (Dave Gasior) of Monongahela; seven grandchildren, Joshua, John III, Angela, Dominic, Dylan and Taylor DeRosa and Stoni Walters; two great-grandchildren, Keegan DeRosa and Levi Selinger; and a daughter-in-law, Michelle DeRosa of Carroll Township. Preceding her in death was her husband, John DeRosa Sr., who died Jan. 6, 2012; two sons, John DeRosa II and Anthony DeRosa, who died as an infant; a brother, Dave Davis Jr.; and two sons-in-law, Charles Walters and Charles Gilmer. Entombment was held in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, was in charge of the arrangements.
