Betty Jean Kochowski, 86, of Rostraver Township, died Monday, April 5, 2021. Born in Layton on Oct. 26, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Lewis M. and Sara J. Layton Forsythe. Betty Jean was the last surviving member of her family. She was a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church. She retired as a clerk for Pennsylvania Fine Wine and Good Spirits. She is survived by her son, John Lewis (Denise) Allen of Rostraver; grandchildren, Jedadiah (Arley) Allen, Courtney Allen (Jason Davidson) and Kaylyn Allen (David Zomber); great-grandchildren; Eli, Evangeline and Emery Allen; a niece and a nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert F. Allen III; her second husband, Thomas F. Kochowski; son, Robert Finley Allen IV; and daughter-in-law, Margaret. Private visitation and funeral services were held in the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com. Interment followed in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Society, www.komen.org.
