Robert Patrick Roche – Mt. Lebanon

Robert Patrick Roche, 79, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021, from cardiac aortic dissection. Bob is survived by his wife, Charlotte “Charlie” Roche. He was the loving father of Robert (Robyn), Brian, Rachel (Nickalas) Watsula, Bridget (Rory) Vaughan and the late Shawn; proud grandfather of eight; caring great-grandfather of four; and cherished brother of Noreen McCloud, James (Linda) Roche, Kathi (Wayne) Koelsch, Debbie (Jeff) O’Connor and Francine (Dominick) Piscone. Bob is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was born on Oct. 1, 1941, in Greenfield to the late Thelma and Francis Roche and grew up in Hazelwood. Bob graduated in 1959 from St. Elizabeth High School and in 1964 from Allegheny Technical Institute as an electronics technician. He was a district manager for Siemens Medical Systems for 35 years. Bob enjoyed playing golf, was a classic car enthusiast who loved going to classic car shows, gardening and was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES. Friends and family are welcome at the funeral home at 2630 W. Liberty Ave., Dormont, 412-531-4000, from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021, in St. Bernard’s Church, Mt. Lebanon. Interment to follow at 1:45 p.m. at Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to the Cardiac Surgery/Heart and Vascular Institute UPMC Shadyside, or St. Michael the Archangel’s St. Vincent de Paul Society.
