James D. Boot Jr., 79, of West Mifflin, died April 3, 2021. He was born in Greens-burg, on Oct. 28, 1941, and is the son of the late James D. and Irma Ruth Anderson Sr. He loved all music and played the guitar in many bands. He retired from Rudy’s Auto Service in Whitaker. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cynthia Odoski Boot; daughters, Michelle (Steve) Guffey of North Huntingdon, Cynthia (the late Micky) Mains of White Oak, and Dawn (Scott) Ulm of White Oak; sons, Craig Calesaric of West Mifflin, and Jeff (Amy) Calesaric of Moon Township; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sisters, Irma (the late David) Evans of Smithton, and Amy (Willie) Washington of Scottdale. Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow. The family and our team members appreciate that all visitors follow the current CDC guidelines including wearing of masks, social distancing and capacity limits. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
