Margaret ‘Marge’ Powlowsky Valdiserri – Formerly of Fallowfield Township

Margaret “Marge” Powlowsky Valdiserri, formerly of Fallowfield Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Manor Care Bethel Park. Marge and her husband Lou were owners of the former Valdiserri Bakery in Bentleyville. She was born Jan. 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Michael and Petronella Shamitis Powlowsky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Valdiserri; five brothers, Valentine, Victor, Albert, John and Thomas Powlowsky; two nephews, Eugene and Kenneth Powlowsky; and two nieces, Nancy Matz and Betty Jo Rhea. She will be cherished in memory by nieces and nephews, Deanne Powlowsky, Richard Powlowsky, Terry Frederick, Lani D’Alfonso, Jay Paul and Linda Sturdivant; sister-in-law, Margaret Stunda Powlowsky; and several great-nieces and great- nephews. Marge will be remembered by family and friends for her kindness and generosity, her love of animals and the “sunshine” baskets she made for family and friends when they were recovering from illness, as well as many happy memories spent at the bakery shop. Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2021, at LEONARD M. PAVLIC FUNERAL HOMES INC., 235 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 624 Washington Ave., Charleroi. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Heartland Hospice Care, 750 Holiday Drive, Suite 110, Foster Plaza 9, Pittsburgh PA 15220 or Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 Route 136, P.O.
