Over his four seasons in a Thomas Jefferson uniform, Ian Hansen has been a part of a very successful group of teams.

He’s won three WPIAL and two PIAA championships over the course of his high school career and Hansen is looking to once again continue his winning ways at the collegiate level.

He won’t have to travel very far to do so as he will continue his academic and football careers at nearby Cal U in the fall. Hansen committed to play for head coach Gary Dunn and the Vulcans back in late January.

“While playing at TJ for my four years, we were always competing for first place,” said Hansen, a wide receiver/defensive back. “I loved the winning mentality and us wanting to win it more than anyone. I know that Cal U will provide that same energy. They are always a top team in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and always have great runs. I can’t wait to be a part of another winning program.”

Hansen considered a number of other schools and programs, including Sacred Heart University, Drake University, Seton Hill, Notre Dame College, Washington and Jefferson, and Mount Union.
