Beverly Mae Bowers Towner, 72, formerly of Forward Township, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 18, 2021. Born Aug. 2, 1948, in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late John G. and Mae Smart Bowers. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth W.  Towner; children, Bob (Joanne) Towner, Jennifer (Mark) Martin and Daniel (April) Towner; grandchildren, Kayla (Matt) Towner, Cody Towner, Alexa Towner and Mackenzie Martin; brother, Robert (Debbie) Bowers; brother-in-law, Bryan (Nancy) Towner; along with nieces and nephews. She enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren. Bev was loved by many and enjoyed playing cards with her card club of 38 years. She will be clearly missed and forever in our hearts. Friends will be received at PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 N. Second Ave., Elizabeth, from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2021. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2021, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Chuck Jack officiating. In order to comply with COVID-19 restrictions, guests are required to wear masks and follow CDC social distancing guidelines. You may be asked to limit your visiting time so that all guests will have an opportunity to pay their respects. The family would like to express their understanding to those who are unable to attend due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Burial will follow in West Newton Cemetery, West Newton.
