Janet A. Dailey Cope, 74, of Finleyville, Union Township, formerly of Clairton, died Sunday, March 14, 2021, in AGH Jefferson Hospital. Born Sept. 22, 1946, in Clairton, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen Thomas Dailey. For most of her life, Jan was a homemaker and spent time raising her family. A 1964 graduate of Clairton High School, she always enjoyed traveling with her husband Bob and was a member of the Clairton V.F.W.’s Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Cope, who she married March 25, 1996: two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Jan Underwood of Canonsburg and Wendy Burgwald (Tim Rogers) of Harrisburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Melissa Cope of Greensburg; a twin brother, James Dailey Jr. and wife Ellen of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Beverly Brindley of Castle Shannon; seven grandchildren, Devin, Jordan and Brayden Underwood, Lynn (Nick) Restivo and Audrey, Natalie and Shelby Cope; a great-granddaughter, Addie Restivo; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Cheryl Cope of Eighty Four. Preceding her in death was her sister, Norma Yurich. Friends will be received at the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, for a memorial celebration/gathering from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 20. Donations can be made to the Washington County Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
