The gates of Heaven opened to welcome Donald F. Ruscitti, 52, on Saturday, March 13, 2021, after a courageous battle with Huntington’s disease.  He was born in North Charleroi on Jan. 7, 1969. Donnie graduated from California University of Pennsylvania and was employed as an environmental scientist for the Pennsylvania Turnpike. He is survived by his loving mother, Thelma Colantoni Ruscitti; his sisters, April (Todd) Tilson of Rostraver, Amber Ruscitti of Youngwood and Tina Yetsconish of Fayette City. Also surviving is his loving nephew, Cameron Tilson, who will miss him dearly. Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Donald J. Ruscitti; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Fannie Ruscitti. A blessing service was held at JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, with the Rev. David J. Nazimek officiating. Interment followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family would like to extend its thanks to the nurses and aides at Westmoreland Manor B-3 and his special friends, Donna, Mattie, Katie and Jenna for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, www.hdsa.org.
