A second quarter run and a 33-point performance by Chartiers Valley’s Brayden Reynolds led the Colts to a 74-56 victory over McKeesport in the first round of the WPIAL Class 5A playoffs Wednesday.

Reynolds shined for the Colts (20-3), putting up 12 of his 33 points from beyond the arc. As a team, Chartiers Valley hit 12 3-pointers with seven coming in the first half.

McKeesport senior Brison Kisan posted 20 points in his high school career finale. Sophomore Travarese Rowe joined Kisan in double figures with 14.

McKeesport (7-9) took an early lead and held it through the first quarter. The Tigers started the game with back-to-back 3-pointers from Kahreke Andrews and Rowe. Both Rowe and Kisan put up five points in the first, helping McKeesport to a 17-15 advantage at the first quarter break.
