Carroll Township supervisors are one step closer to starting a roof replacement project for the township’s municipal building.
At Tuesday’s meeting, supervisors approved a bid by Meadville-based Fuller Home Building, Inc. for the project.
The lump sum base bid for the project is $93,385.40.
According to supervisors, the move is contingent upon approval by Washington County Commissioners because funds for the project will be provided by the county’s Local Shared Account.
LSA money comes from gaming revenue and may be used for economic development, job training, community improvement and public interest projects in Washington County.
This is the second attempt by supervisors at securing a bid for the project.
In December, they said the original bid of $152,400 by Monongahela-based contractors Slagle Roofing and Construction was too high.
