Ronald J. Wood, 50, of Greensburg, formerly of Export and Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a lengthy battle with COVID-19. Born July 13, 1970, in North Charleroi, he was the son of Robert and Janet Wilson Baron of Washington Township. A resident of Greensburg for the past year, Ron was a truck driver for Estes Trucking for 14 years. He loved camping at Mountain Pines, vacationing at Ocean City during OC BikeFest, was a member of White Valley Am Vets, Export Moose, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan and always enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen “Kathie” Kozusko Glunt Wood, to whom he was married seven years; seven children, Jakki Ross and husband David of Belle Vernon, Jocelyn Frucella and husband Anthony of Fayette City, Kiera Wood and fiancé Lloyd of Belle Vernon, Caressa Wood and fiancé Jeremy of Fayette City, Lauren Glunt and fiancé Cameron of Delmont, Taylor Glunt and RJ of Greensburg and Tommy Glunt of Greensburg; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert Wood of Roscoe, Lee and Rae Lynn Baron of Belle Vernon; mother-in-law, Rose Marino of Greensburg; father-in-law Ronald and wife, Jeffrie Kozusko of Pinellas Park, Fla.; brother-in-laws, Steve and Stephanie Kozusko of Frazeysburg, Ohio, Adam Kozusko of Pittsburgh and Brad and Alli Kozusko of Pittsburgh; sister, Lisa Wood; sister-in-law, Mary and Jeff Worst of Apollo; three grandchildren, Novastasia, Anthony “Little T” and Scarlett; nieces and nephews, Jonathan Wood, Hayden Baron, Landen Baron, Ethan Baron, Jacob Cochran, Derrick Valdiserri, Jake Valdiserri, Josh Valdiserri, Jacquelyn Jupina, Brooke Kozusko and Megan Kozusko; and pet dog, Harley. Ronald was also survived by many friends. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, conducted by Lee Baron. Interment will take place in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. In accordance with state mandates, masks MUST be worn and social distancing must be maintained. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Rick’s Sports Bar and Grill in Export, at noon Thursday for a celebration of Ronald’s life.
