Nellie Pearl Foster, 90, of Elizabeth, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, in Jefferson Hospital. She was born June 5, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Boyd Campbell. Nellie spent her life taking care of her husband, her home and raising her children. She loved to cook, work in her vegetable garden, crochet, knit, do word search puzzles and shop at thrift stores. She is survived by her son, Edward Foster of Forward Township; grandson, Joshua Foster; brother, Dean Campbell of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry E. “Yuk” Foster, who died Feb. 12, 1997; daughter, Margaret Doan; and her brother, Joseph Campbell. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021, with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, McKeesport. In order to be compliant with our state guidelines concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, masks MUST be worn, social distancing maintained and only 30 people are permitted in the funeral home at one time. Please limit your visitation time to allow for other family and friends to visit. The family would like to thank you in advance for your understanding.
