Kenneth Turner – Coal Center

Kenneth Turner, 91, of Coal Center, passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021. A son of the late Loren and Mabel Ray Turner, he was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on April 20, 1929. A resident of Coal Center since 1992, he had been employed as a machinist for Rock Ten. Ken was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Korea. He is survived by a daughter and son in-law, Rebecca and Kenneth Layman of Fayette City; three grandchildren, Joe Hutchison, Nicole Nelson and Laura Turner; four great-grandchildren, Noelle, Ethan, Nolan and Delaney Hutchison; two sisters, Genevieve and Vera, both of Ohio; and his best buddy, Jasper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jennetta Roberts Turner; a son, Leslie Turner; a grandson, Rickey Hutchison; two brothers, Carl Turner and Ray Turner; and a sister, Dolly Ardena. There will be no public visitation or services. Private arrangements have been entrusted to FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300.
