Fallowfield Township is offering up advice to a township in Butler County that lost nearly all of its equipment in a garage fire over the weekend.

Supervisor Bruce Smith said when he read about the fire in Clinton Township, he felt compelled to offer advice and words of encouragement to the community, knowing first hand what they were experiencing.

While Fallowfield Township supervisors have rebuilt, replaced and updated needed equipment to keep the township running smoothly since the garage fire in 2018, it was not an easy road.

“I decided to reach out to them, to offer some moral support and ideas,” he said.

“After talking to their chairwoman, I am glad I did because some of the things we talked about she said she might not have thought of.”

Officials in Clinton Township lost two snow removal trucks, one of which was only a few weeks old, a backhoe and several other items and equipment in the blaze.
