Nellie Mae Johnson-Jackson, 91, of Monongahela, transitioned from this life to be with the Lord on Feb. 19, 2021. Born on July 10, 1929, in Finleyville, she was the daughter of the late George and Juanita Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Jackson Jr.; one son, William A. Jackson; and four brothers, George, Edward, James and Robert Johnson. Nellie leaves to cherish her loving memory, one son, Albert L. (Cheryl) Jackson III of Duluth, Ga.; two sisters, Betty Jean Patterson of Pittsburgh and Ruth Johnson of Washington, Pa.; a special nephew who was like a son, Edward (Butch) Johnson of Washington, Pa.; five granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; 12 nieces, 13 nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends will be received 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by funeral services on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at First Baptist Church, 541 Allen St, Donora. Keeping in compliance with the COVID-19 state mandate, visitors are asked to wear MASKS and comply with social distancing guidelines. Arrangements have been entrusted to WILLIAM R.
