Grace Louise Trader Nichols – Fayette City

Grace Louise Trader Nichols, 93, of Fayette City, passed away on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. The daughter of the late Clifford and Vinola Blower Brightwell, she was born on Aug. 13, 1927, in Gillespie. A lifelong Fayette City resident, she was a member of the Fayette City United Methodist Church and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Lonnie Trader of Charleroi; a grandchild, Coby (Bridget) Trader of Monongahela; one great-grandchild, Nathan Trader; and a sister, Dr. Mary Alice Brightwell of Perryopolis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Herman Trader in 1978; her second husband, James Nichols in 2017; and a great-granddaughter, Brianna E. Trader in 2006. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, with the Rev. Vann Walchock officiating, followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Face masks are required in the funeral home and social distancing should be practiced.
