Doris Jean Bailey, age 91, of McKeesport, died on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021. She was born in McKeesport on March 4, 1929 and is the daughter of the late Lester and Gertrude Taylor Maurer; and the wife of the late Chauncey A. Bailey. She was employed at the McKeesport Housing Authority until her retirement. She always enjoyed helping others and she and her husband loved traveling in their motor home. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy (John) Hreha of McKeesport; sons, Wade Ancarana of Elizabeth Township, Carl (Sherry) Bailey of North Huntingdon, Chris (Guyann) Bailey of Library, Ronald (Darla) Brewster of McKeesport and Senator James (Linda) Brewster of McKeesport; brothers, Lester Maurer Jr. of Versailles Borough, Ronald (Valjean) Maurer of McKeesport; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by stepchildren, Patricia Sissick, Margaret Flowers and Chauncey Bailey III. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Cary Alan; granddaughter, Jamie Brewster Filotei; grandson, Wade Ancarana III; great-grandchild, Colton Bailey; and sister, Joan Hileman The family would like to thank LGAR, Community Life, and Sara the hospice nurse for the wonderful care given to Mother. A family gathering was held at STRIFFLERS AT WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131, Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177. Services will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1201 Prescott St., White Oak, PA 15131, at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25th, 2021.
