Pennsylvania has gotten at least one COVID-19 vaccine shot into the arms of 1.47 million residents so far.
Nearly 915,000 have been partially vaccinated and almost 560,000 have gotten both shots and are fully vaccinated. A total of 2.03 million doses of the vaccine have been administered of the 3.17 million the state has been allocated through Feb. 27.
In Allegheny County, almost 102,000 have been partially covered and a little more than 51,000 have been fully vaccinated. In Fayette, there have been about 12,500 partially vaccinated and another roughly 4,600 fully vaccinated.
Washington County has inoculated almost 17,000 partially and another roughly 7,600 fully. In Westmoreland County, almost 27,500 have been partially vaccinated and a little more than 15,000 have been fully covered.
The state added 2,830 new cases Tuesday, bringing the total to 917,848. There were 97 new deaths for a new total of 23,711.
The trend in the 14-day moving average number of hospitalized patients per day is about 3,700 lower than it was at the peak on Dec. 25. But the current 14-day average is just below what it was at the height of the spring peak on May 3.
