A Donora man who was wanted in connection with two shootings late last month was found dead in West Virginia Thursday morning.
Zackory Sadler, 36, was found in a home on Wheeling Island around 6:30 a.m. The initial call to the North Broadway Street home was for a medical emergency, Wheeling police said.
Sadler was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Wheeling police said their initial findings showed no apparent external injuries.
Police used a mobile fingerprint scanner to determine Sadler’s identity and that he was wanted in Washington County on homicide charges. He had been on the run for 23 days.
Sadler was charged in the City of Washington for the shooting death of Darnell Brown, 41, in the parking lot of Family Dollar on Highland Avenue in Washington on Jan. 26.
