By obits

Concetta DiPiazza, 65, of Monessen, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born on July 23, 1955, in Sicily, Italy, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Francesca DiPasquale DiPiazza. Concetta lived in Monessen most of her life and was a 1974 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. She had worked as a seamstress for London Fog at the former Donora Sportwear, and later at LaEda’s Family Restaurant as a cook. Concetta was a loving person with a big heart. Her family was her life and she helped to take care of all of them. She enjoyed cooking, but her passion was baking. She is survived by a sister, Carmella Sangiorgi of Totowa, N.J.; her brother, Calogero “Charlie” (Maria) DiPiazza of Greensburg; two sisters-in-law, Anna Marie DiPiazza of Monessen and Concetta DiPiazza of South Hackensack, N.J.; and by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Giuseppe and Luigi DiPiazza; and by three sisters, Maria DiPiazza, Elena Morello, and Rosalie Bertola. Friends will be received in DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave. Monessen, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday Feb.20, at which time a Blessing Service will be held, followed by a noon Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. All those attending the viewing and services are required to wear a face mask and social distance. Only 25 people at a time are permitted in the funeral home. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
