Evaline F. Danter, 89, of West Newton, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2021. She was born Feb. 22, 1931, in West Newton, a daughter of the late Ralph and Carrie Trainor Markle. Prior to retirement she was a nurse’s aide at McKeesport Hospital. Evaline was a member of First Church of God, West Newton. She had a big heart and always thought of others. Surviving are two children, Don Danter and wife Debbie of Elizabeth Township and Vicki Schaller and husband Chuck of Port Vue; grandchildren, Kristen Montag and husband Brian, Matt Dudek and Cara Petri; great-grandchildren, Zachary Montag, Abby, Camela and Giuliana Dudek and Gwen Petri; and a special friend and caregiver, Kathi Kudlik. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, George, Walter, Harold and Don Markle; and sister, Edith Thrasher. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, at which time services will be held at J. WILLIAM MCCAULEY JR. FUNERAL HOME, 901 Vine St., West Newton. Masks must be worn and social distancing be maintained. The amount of people permitted in the funeral home at once is 40, so please limit your visit out of respect for others. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God, the Salvation Army or a veterans’ group of your choice.
